Event Details
Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a beautiful tradition honoring loved ones who have passed away. Join us at the library on October 29th at 6:00pm to celebrate and go on a magical journey into Latin American culture through cuentos, or folk tales that have been handed down for generations in Mexico and other countries! Marisol, a bilingual cuentista (storyteller), will share stories that she grew up hearing from her abuelitos (grandparents).
There will be music and dancing, traditional food and dress, and families can choose to come early at 5:30pm to make paper flowers for our ofrenda (altar) to remember our loved ones. Come join the fun and get a peek into this beautiful and important cultural celebration!
This program was made possible by grant funds from REFORMA.
